Course description

Do you want to be part of a murder investigation in the English countryside? Do you want to be immersed in a story in the best tradition of English crime novels (Agatha Christie, Conan Doyle, Dick Francis)? Do you want to star in a story similar to those of Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot or Midsomer Murders? Do you want to join the ranks of brilliant detectives? Can you track down the killer? Do you want to go on a detective adventure and improve your English as you plan your tactics, negotiate and manage your case? Join us in the English countryside the 19th century, search for the body, visit the pathologist, interrogate witnesses, develop your theories – but most importantly relax and have fun!  
The plot: John Arnheim was a partner in a prosperous bank; his net worth is estimated to be millions of pounds. He had a loving wife, great colleagues and friends. He had been tremendously lucky with everything until…he was found dead at his own fiftieth birthday party. The party takes place at his secluded country estate in Ramsey on the Isle of Man attended by his business partners and family members. Can you solve the murder mystery before the last ferry leaves the shore?

Content

  • drama and experiential learning through role playing
